Privacy Policy

Welcome to Radha Naam Jaap ("the App", "we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your information. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account & Authentication Data
When you create an account using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In, we receive the following information from your identity provider:

1.2 App Activity & Usage Data
We collect the following data generated through your use of the App:
- Chanting Progress: Total Jaap count, Mala count, and daily/weekly/monthly chanting statistics.
- Streak Data: Current streak length, longest streak, and streak history.
- Sankalpa (Goals): Active and completed spiritual goals, including target malas and duration.
- Radha Coins Balance: Virtual currency earned through chanting and spent in the Divine Store.
- Store Transactions: Records of items unlocked using Radha Coins (wallpapers, ringtones, themes).
1.3 Social & Community Data
- Leaderboard Participation: Your name, avatar, and total mala count may be visible to other users on the Global and Friends leaderboards.
- Referral Codes: If you share or apply a referral code, we store the code and associated referral relationship.
1.4 Data We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect precise device location, contact lists, call logs, SMS data, device microphone or camera data, financial/payment card information, or health data.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Account Management: To create, maintain, and authenticate your user account.
- Core App Functionality: To track and sync your chanting progress, streaks, Sankalpa goals, and Radha Coins balance across devices.
- Leaderboard & Social Features: To display your rankings on Global and Friends leaderboards, and to process referral codes.
- Divine Store: To manage your virtual currency, process item unlocks, and deliver purchased digital content.
- App Improvement: To understand usage patterns and improve the App's features and performance.
- Communication: To send important service-related notices (e.g., security alerts, policy changes).
3. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties.
Your data is never sold, rented, or traded to advertisers, data brokers, or any external parties for commercial purposes.
We may share limited data only in the following circumstances:
- Publicly Visible Data: If you have not opted out, your display name, profile picture, and total mala count are visible on the leaderboard. You can hide yourself from the leaderboard at any time via Settings → Leaderboard Visibility.
- Service Providers: We use Supabase as our backend infrastructure provider for secure data storage and authentication. Supabase processes data on our behalf and is contractually obligated to protect it.
- Authentication Providers: Google and Apple facilitate sign-in only. They do not receive your in-app activity data from us.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is securely stored on Supabase, which employs industry-standard security measures, including:
- Data encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest.
- Row-Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only access their own data.
- Regular security audits and monitoring.
While we take reasonable precautions to protect your data, no system can guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to keep your account credentials secure.
5. Leaderboard Privacy Controls
Your presence on the Global and Friends leaderboards is optional. You can hide your profile from all leaderboards at any time by navigating to Settings → Leaderboard Visibility and toggling it off. When hidden, your name, avatar, and progress will not be visible to other users.
6. Account & Data Deletion
Your Right to Delete
You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time. We provide a simple, in-app mechanism to do so — no email required.
How to Delete Your Account
- Open the Radha Naam Jaap app.
- Navigate to Settings (gear icon on your profile screen).
- Tap "Delete Account".
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
Upon deletion, the following data is permanently and irreversibly removed from our servers:
- Your profile information (name, email, profile picture).
- All chanting progress, streak history, and Sankalpa data.
- Radha Coins balance and store transaction history.
- Leaderboard rankings and referral code data.
- All other personal data associated with your account.
Account Recovery
After requesting deletion, you may have a brief grace period during which you can recover your account by signing in again. Once the grace period expires, deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately at the email below, and we will promptly delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
